A slip dress is the most useful thing in a wardrobe once you find one that hangs instead of clings. Ours are cut on the bias in a fabric with enough weight to move with you, fully lined, with straps that adjust.
Bias cut explained
Cutting the fabric diagonally lets it stretch and fall around the body instead of hanging straight down. It is what makes a slip skim rather than cling, and it is why a bias dress needs no stretch in the fabric at all.
How to stop a slip clinging
Weight and lining. A thin unlined slip will catch on tights and show everything. Ours are lined, so they fall clean over whatever you are wearing underneath.
Three ways to wear it
On its own with a flat for summer. Over a fine rib tank with a blazer for work. With a knit on top and boots once it gets cold.
