Built
to be
used by
everyone.

1. Our Commitment
Petite Wears is a small brand, and we build the site ourselves. We want it to be usable by as many people as possible, including anyone browsing with a screen reader, a keyboard rather than a mouse, a magnifier, or on a phone with the text size turned up. We take the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA as our target and work towards it with every change we make.
2. What We Have Done
Every page can be reached and used with a keyboard alone, and there is a skip link at the top so you can jump straight to the content. Headings run in order so a screen reader can move through a page by structure. Form fields have labels attached rather than placeholder text alone, and errors are announced rather than shown only in colour. Buttons and links describe where they go. Images that carry meaning have alternative text, and images that are purely decorative are hidden from screen readers so they do not get in the way. Colour contrast is checked against the AA threshold. The layout works from a small phone to a wide monitor, and text can be enlarged without the page breaking. Nothing on the site flashes, autoplays with sound, or moves without you asking it to.
3. Where We Know We Fall Short
We are honest about the gaps. Some of our photography does not yet have full descriptive alternative text, and we are rewriting it piece by piece. The size chart is a table, which is readable, but we are adding a plain text version alongside it. We have not yet had the site audited by a third party or tested with every assistive technology, so there will be problems we have not found. If you hit one, it is a bug to us, not a limitation you have to live with.
4. Buying Without the Website
If any part of the site stops you ordering, email us and we will take the order by email instead, including sizing help and payment. You should not have to fight a website to buy a dress.
5. Telling Us Something Is Wrong
Email hello@petitewears.com with what you were trying to do, the page you were on, and the device, browser or assistive technology you were using. That last part helps more than anything. We aim to reply within 1 to 2 business days and to fix anything we can quickly.
6. Reviewing This Statement
This statement was last reviewed in October 2026. We update it when the site changes, and whenever someone reports a problem that changes what is true here.
